Student Welfare

Safeguarding our students is taken into consideration in every aspect of the programmes we run at Chartam English, including the way we design and build our residential English schools to provide a secure and supportive environment for our students.

The best schools are regularly inspected by accrediting bodies. They check the quality of teaching, student care, administration and management, to make sure that you will learn English in a safe environment.

The safety and wellbeing of our students is our first priority.

The wellbeing and safeguarding of our students is taken into consideration in every aspect of the programmes we deliver at Chartam. Our residential school has been specially designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

  • Students are met at the airport by a Chartam- appointed representative, who will escort them to their transportation for private transfer to the school
  • The private gated campus requires a digital key card to enter the building, lifts and bedrooms
  • Reception staff are on duty 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
  • All students, staff and visitors are required to sign in at Reception on arrival
  • Different coloured lanyard ID cards clearly identify Chartam staff and students
  • The campus premises and each activity we offer are fully risk-assessed
  • We regularly meet with each student to discuss their welfare and general wellbeing in London
  • A dedicated Safeguarding Of cer is available on campus for students to speak to if they have any problems during their stay
  •  A 24-hour emergency telephone number is given to all our clients
  • Information on UK laws, rules relevant to their age group and advice on personal, road and transport safety is given on arrival at the Welcome Meeting
  • Evening curfew times are in place on campus for students aged under 18
